Welcome to The K9 Concept booking site!

Here you can book the different services and facilities we offer at The K9 Concept Complex (TK9CC), which consists of:

- K9 Freedom Field (K9FF)

- K9 Confidence Course (K9CC)

- Semi-Outdoor Training Area (SOTA)

There are "Exclusive" or "Non-exclusive" options available for booking the fields (K9FF, K9CC).

Exclusive use means - guaranteed no other dogs within your booked field and the adjoining field.

Non-exclusive use means that another user may be hiring the adjoining field (but no other dogs will be allowed within your booked field).

Both fields are enclosed with 6 foot deer fencing.

Dog wash down station, sheltered areas with seating and complimentary hot drinks are available.

Bookings can be made for half, one or two hour slots, however, we ask you to leave five minutes early. This is to allow users of the TK9CC to do so without interaction with other users where required.

1 acre, fully enclosed area. Inside this field you will find a thought provoking obstacle course, with both simple and complex routes available also a set of IRO (International Search and Rescue Dog Organisation) compliant obstacles for Search and Rescue dogs. There is also a seating area and a kennel suitable for holding waiting dogs.
Before booking this option, please ensure that you and your dog have completed TK9C Confidence Course One to One or group class and been signed off by one of our trainers.

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - Want to build your dogs confidence? Or do you just want to try something new with them? Book a confidence building session and learn the basics skills required for the course before being able to enjoy the facility at your leisure.

Pack walk

This workshop is an opportunity to work on more advanced obedience and behaviours in a day to day setting.

We will also focus on environmental training and socialisation, this may include visiting Coffee Shops, navigating through town or a visit to the Market.

If you have not previously trained with us, please get in touch, (info@thek9concept.com) and we will arrange a free assessment to ensure that this is the right environment for you and your dog.

On our Puppy Course we will cover;

Each class lasts approx. 55 mins. and the whole course lasts for 4 weeks.

This Puppy Course will also count towards your 'Confident K9' award from The K9 Concept.

One to One Training - Initial session

These sessions will assist in helping you and your dog to better understand each other, to set rules and boundaries and to gain mutual respect. Don't forget, you are a team, but you are the team leader. Once this is established, we can work on your dog’s basic and advanced obedience within a group or continue with one-to-ones.

We always recommend these sessions to start with, as you get dedicated one-on-one trainer time. This initial session should ideally be a home visit, which can also include outside training; it is around 1.5 hours long (mileage is charged at £1 extra per mile outside of Melton).

Scentwork Course

‘Scentwork’ is a great activity that allows dogs to search for a specific smell and then let you know that they have found it.

It is fun for your dog as they use their strongest, natural sense. At the same time it is mentally stimulating for them too!

This great hobby also strengthens the bond between you and your dog. You can also go onto compete in trials later!
